阿賴耶

(阿賴耶, 阿赖耶)

(sa) ālaya, an abode, resting-place (hence Himālaya, the storehouse of snow), intp. as [lang id =1028]無沒 non-disappearing, perhaps non-melting, also as [lang id =1028]藏 store. Other forms are [lang id =1028]阿利耶 (or [lang id =1028]阿梨耶, [lang id =1028]阿黎耶, or [lang id =1028]阿羅耶); also [lang id =1028]賴 or [lang id =1028]梨耶. Any of these terms is used in abbreviation for (sa) Ālaya-vijñāna.

心識名， 八識中的第八識， 華譯為藏識， 藏字有三義， 即能藏、 所藏、 執藏。 能藏謂阿賴耶識能含藏一切法的善惡種子； 所藏謂阿賴耶識為前七識熏習的雜染法所覆藏； 執藏謂阿賴耶識為第七識所執為自內我。 又譯作無沒， 即含藏諸法種子而不沒失。 又雖在生死而不沒失， 故名無沒。
